About the studio

In.Space is a multimedia space in Ostrava's Kunčičky district, in a corner building where Frýdecká and Rajnochova streets meet. Its 86.5 m² hold a large photo and video atelier with a corner cyclorama, a small office and a podcast studio. The team running the space otherwise works on photography, video, branding and campaigns.

Podcasts are recorded in Studio 02, an acoustically treated 20.25 m² room (roughly 4.5 × 4.5 metres) with a flexible set. On the table you'll find two Shure SM7Bs, a RØDECaster Duo and headphones for monitoring; recording goes to two tracks and you get the export right after the session. The lights, including a Fomei ceiling system, are shared with the atelier next door, and the Wi-Fi runs at 200 Mb/s. If you want picture too, cameras with an operator can be arranged on request.

You book the studio online by the hour through Reservio: one hour costs 700 CZK, two hours 1,400 CZK. At the start of your booking they help you set up the room and the gear, so you don't spend the first fifteen minutes lost in cables. The site doesn't say whether prices include VAT. The large atelier is rented separately, from 1,000 CZK per hour.

It's open on weekdays from 8 am to 8 pm, and sessions outside opening hours can be arranged individually. The studio suits presenter duos, one-on-one interviews and companies that want to shoot a few photos in the neighbouring atelier alongside the recording.
